Colonial Chapel Funeral Home 25.10.2021

Albert Bernard Campbell, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his residence in Collins, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. -3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Reverend Rodney Duke, Reverend Stan Lobin and Reverend Bob Lytle will officiate at the service with interment to follow at the Williamsburg United Methodist Cemetery with Masonic and Milit...ary rites. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Campbell Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Neal Campbell, Derrell Daniel, Karson Evans, Mitch Evans, Taylor Kimble, Jesse Russell, Scott Russell, Lynn Smith and Chris Sumrall. Honorary pallbearers will be Glynn Daniel, Homer Daniel, Bob Faler, Boots Hughes, Don Mooney, Carlton McRaney, Mike McQueen, John Laz Sanford, Charlie Yates and the Men of WUMC. Mr. Campbell, a Covington County native, proudly served in the United States Army. He was a carpenter, a farmer and a rural mail carrier for 35 years. He was a proud recipient of the Million Mile Award for delivering the U.S. Mail to citizens of Covington County accident free. After retiring from the postal service, he served as a bailiff for Circuit Court Judges Bob Evans and Eddie Bowen. During his life he was a member of the Collins Jaycee’s, Masonic Lodge #34 and served as a Board of Director for Covington County Hospital. He was a lifetime member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, V. O. Campbell, Sr. & Lela Pickering Campbell; step mother, Annie Lois Campbell; three brothers, Otis Keith Campbell, Travis Lynwood Campbell, George Randall Campbell; one sister, Maxine Aultman; and a son-in-law, Bud Matthews. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Doris Coulter Campbell of Collins; three daughters, Kay Smith (Lynn) of Collins, Debbie Matthews of New Augusta, and Janet Anderson (Donnie) of Forney, TX; two brothers, Herman Campbell (Annie Ruth) and V.O. Campbell, Jr. ( Patti) both of Collins; two sisters, Roanoke McDonald (Carl) of Ridgeland and Jan Franks of Germantown, TN; two sisters-in-law, Jerri Lynn Campbell of Hattiesburg and Lillie Mae Campbell of Helena, AL; six grandchildren, Heidi Russell (Scott), Terah Evans (Mitch), Taylor Kimble (Nikki), Ashton Sumrall (Chris), Darby Anderson and Campbell Anderson. Five great grandchildren, Josie Russell, Karson Evans, Jesse Russell, Dylan Sumrall and Devyn Sumrall; and a host of nieces and nephews. Brother Hal Hatten will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery in Hazlehurst. Billy M. Mr. Harbour was born on October 13, 1937, in DeKalb, Mississippi. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Collins, Mississippi. He loved his church family and making sure he attended church when he was able. He served our country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed coon hunting, riding horses, spending time in the outdoors, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two wives, Carolyn Blakeney Harbour the mother of his children, and Ruth Puckett Eldridge Harbour; father, Roscoe Harbour; mother, Lois Dean White; and one brother, Sonny Harbour. Survivors include his loving wife, Julia Graham Harbour of Collins; two daughters, Lois Harbour Knight of Hazlehurst, and Amanda Harbour Purser and her husband, Jimmy, of Purvis; five step-children, Angielynn Barnes and her husband, Randy, of DeKalb, Todd Eldridge and his wife, Christy, of Collinsville, Aaron Graham and his wife, Jan, of Collins, Judy Williams of Collins, and Lisa Blesse and her husband, Steven, of Hattiesburg; three grandchildren, Alayne Harbour Purser of Purvis, Andrew Bennett Purser and his wife, Shelby, of Purvis, and Dalton Lamar Knight and his wife, Hannah, of Oxford; and a host of step-grandchildren, family members, and friends. Oneva Elaine Hembree Sullivan was born April 23, 1929 in Petal, Mississippi and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2021. She was the daughter of James Quincy and Nannie Bain Hembree. She grew up in Mount Olive, Mississippi where she graduated from Mount Olive High School in April, 1947. She was the valedictorian and president of her senior class and she was a proud cheer leader for Mount Olive. She received a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. She lived in Natchez, Mississippi for 46 years where she was employed by International Paper Company and United Mississippi Bank. After retirement, she worked for 9 years as a part-time librarian at the Mount Olive Library. She retired in 1973. She was married 3 times (to Marion Francis Marshall, III, Allen Tutt Lack, and Archie Elery Sullivan) all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her nieces; Aimee Hively, Dianne Wetherbee, Mary Jewell, Nancy Roberts, Margaret Hembree, and Carolyn Lazaro. Stepsons John and Tim Sullivan. She is also survived by special friends John and Barbara Campbell, Mary John Kimbrough, Nancy Ross, Virginia Sanford, and Doris Bounds and cousins Bobbie Jean Ray, and Nelda Brady.
