Hey everyone, gonna give you a little info on the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. With the weather changing in areas they will be out and moving. They are a species of venomous pit viper in the family Viperidae. The species is endemic to the south eastern U.S.. It is one of the heaviest venomous snakes in the Americas and the largest Rattlesnake. They are found in the pinelands of Florida, the coastal plains of North Carolina, Southern Mississippi through eastern Louisiana.... They prefer scrublands, coastal forests, barrier islands, pine and wiregrass flatwoods. The Eastern Diamondback is the largest of the 32 species currently recognized. They are large heavy bodied snakes with large broad heads with 2 light lines on the face. The Adults are usually 33 to 72 inches long, but the largest on record was 96 inches long.
