2020 has been weird y’all... but happy 1 year engagement anniversary to us!!

Hey y’all. It’s time for an update.. As some of you know, I went in for hip surgery on June 30 with (what we thought would be) a quick 3-4 week recovery. Once the Dr. was in there, he found a little bit more that needed repairing than expected. A torn labrum, an impingement (bone spur), and some arthritis that needed cleaning out. You can imagine my disappointment and fear when he said it would be 8-12 weeks before I could walk on it or stand behind a chair again. Surgery w...ent great. But recovery has come with a few minor setbacks... An unexpected 12 week recovery, double pneumonia post surgery, one intense week of physical therapy, and then today when he told me I’m going to have to scale back again and take another 2 weeks off from physical therapy. Both crutches. No weight. No walking on it. Although it’s not devastating news, it was another setback that I was not expecting or ready for. With all of that said, I’m STILL not sure when I’ll be able to come back to work again. I was hoping mid September, but it could be closer to October. Right now, all I can do is focus on taking care of my hip and safely recovering so I CAN come back one day. I would also like to thank each and everyone of you that has reached out to check on me. Your texts, thoughts and prayers have meant more to me than you know! I appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you all again very soon!!

I’m SUPER excited to announce that appointments are now being booked starting May 19th! I’m already making arrangements to work overtime to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible. However, due to the overwhelming demand for appointments, a new cancellation policy will be implemented starting immediately. Understanding that schedules sometimes change, requests made with at least 24 hours notice when canceling or rescheduling your appointment may be done so at no charge. ...Appointments canceled after the 24 hour grace period, will incur a charge of 50% of the service amount. No Call/No Show and late arrivals of 15 minutes or later will also incur a charge of 50% of the service amount. A credit card will be required to book services of $100 or more. Also, under new regulations you’ll be required to: 1. Arrive alone. No children, spouses, or friends will be allowed to come to your appointment with you. There will be no waiting area for anyone. 2. Wait in your car. Text/call when you arrive and I’ll come get you when I’m ready for your appointment. 3. Wash hands upon arriving inside. We’ll have hand sanitizer and soap to accommodate you. 4. Bring your masks!! We’re all required to wear one in salon. Hoping this one will be the MOST TEMPORARY order we have to follow. 5. Expect possible delays with your appointment. I’m only allowed to work 1 client at a time and I have to allow 10-15 minutes between appointments to properly sanitize and prepare for the next client. This could cause some delays. Just an update... I’ve temporarily turned off the online booking option so I can schedule your appointments smoothly and accordingly to the new regulations. I’ll be reaching out to you all soon to book your appointments. Due to new regulations for stylist and client, I will need to take the next week to prepare for your arrival. I plan on being back in salon May 19th! Keep in mind, I have quite the list going that I have to accommodate to and it may take some time to get your appointment due to not being able to double book, per my usual. I appreciate your patience, loyalty and understanding through all of this! Love and miss you all!!

Dear clients, Please be patient with me! I’m responding to you all as fast as I can with the few answers I have for you at the moment. I’m just as eager to get back as you are! Also, please understand I have a list of clients waiting to get in, so it may take some time to get your appointment scheduled. Hey y’all. I know MANY of you have been reaching out regarding services, so I just wanted to put some concerns to rest. Since the state has not been shut down yet, many stylists are still working. At this time, we’re being encouraged to use masks and take only one client in the salon at a time. As there are several of us stylists at Salon Bar, that obviously doesn’t work very well. I also know the masks we’d need to use are hard to find for medical professionals right now, m...uch less stylists. With all of that in mind, I have made the decision that I will not be taking appointments for the next 2 weeks. In the best interest of leaving supplies for medical professionals and in protecting myself and my family, this is the best course available. I will be getting in touch with many of you to reschedule for a future date. A special thanks to all of my clients for supporting my small business and for continually checking on me. We’ll be back and better than ever very soon.
