Summer Camps are back!!!! We are opening registration for summer camps later this week but we want to go ahead and give you a sneak peak at the dates. We have a lot of non-camp events scheduled this summer, so we were having a tough time scheduling week-long camps. Thus, in order to provide as many camp opportunities as possible, we have decided to adopt a 'camplet' format this summer. Instead of two week-long camps, we are having five three-day 'camplets'. We'll post reg...istration links and detailed camp descriptions later this week. Nature Camp: Life in the Lake June 2 - June 4, 2021, Rising 3rd through 6th Grade Students Nature Camp: Flights of Fancy June 9 - June 11, 2021, Rising 3rd through 6th Grade Students Camp of Dangerous Deeds and Derring-Do June 23 - June 25, 2021, Rising 7th through 9th Grade Students Camp of Dangerous Deeds and Derring-Do July 7 July 9, 2021, Rising 3rd through 6th Grade Students Nature Camp: Living in the Longleaf July 19 July 21, 2021, Rising 3rd through 6th Grade Students Cost per camp: $150 or $125 (BYO lunch)

The Spring Plant Sale helps fund our summer programs at Lake Thoreau and we are always super thankful for the support. An added benefit is that occasionally a customer will drop off some mayhaw jelly or blackberry jam from plants they bought at previous sales. Thanks for spreading the love (and our waistlines)!

Big thanks to the Piney Woods Conservation Group for this generous donation!! We will leverage this donation with another grant to get some educational (and directional!) signage on our trails. DeSoto National Forest is opening some recreation areas that were previously closed due to a combination of COVID and hurricane damage. Get out and catch some fish!
