It’s about that time! Come join us for a showing of overcomer at 7:30. We will be offering the drive in option or get our and watch in a lawn chair! Kick off this Easter weekend in a great way with the family watching a movie!

We are so excited to show off our 2021 Miss Hospitality, Karlie Jordan and Jaliyah Mari Collins! These faces may seem familiars it’s because our 2020 Miss Hospitality and Little Miss Hospitality will be representing us again in 2021! Due to Covid last year the local pageant sponsors and the state level extended the invitation to 2020 Miss Hospitalities to extend their reign so they could get the full experience and our beautiful Miss and Little Miss just weren’t quite ready to quit serving the community. We are so thankful and excited to have Karlie Jordan and Jaliyah Marie Collins are both looking forward to a year full of serving our community at all the events to come in 2021!

Join us for two days of fun at the Atwood Water Park in Monticello, Mississippi! We are so thankful to be able to bring in person events back to the community and get back to normal! Friday Night- April 2, 2021 we will be offering a movie in the park to kick off the Easter weekend on the right now. Come enjoy a drive in movie or outdoor movie at Atwood Water Park starting at dark (around 7:30 or 8). We will be showing the movie "Overcomer" a Christian based movie to celebrate Good Friday. Saturday- April 3, 2021 at 1:00pm we will be holding the annual Lawrence County Easter Egg at Atwood Water Park. We will have age appropriate hunts for children 0 to 12 years old. Candy will be in all the eggs found and we will have a drawing for bigger prizes such as bikes!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help on Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 10th and 11th) with the drive thru COVID vaccination at the Givens building in Monticello. They are looking for volunteers to help direct traffic and sign people in as they drive up and more. If you are interested in scheduling a time to volunteer please call or text Tony Norwood at 601-660-5018! We are so thankful to have the Lawrence County Hospital, Lawrence County Emergency Management, and all the volunteers so far to help make our community a safe and healthy place to be. We can't thank them enough for all that they do!

We are so happy to welcome the Magnolia Marketplace to Lawrence County! This is a cute shop full of goodies that is run by the Lawrence County Historical Society. All proceeds from the shop will go towards several of the projects they are working on that preserve and showcase some of the amazing artifact and buildings across the county! Everyone make sure to stop by there to welcome them to the community when you're passing by and follow their Facebook page for updates on their current projects. They are open Wednesday-Friday from 10 to 4:30 and Saturday from 10 to 2.

The Chamber of Commerce is ecstatic to welcome New To You to Monticello, MS! If you haven't been by stop by Tuesday thru Friday from 10-5 or Saturday from 10-2. They have a great selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories for all styles! Welcome to Lawrence County, New To You! The Chamber of Commerce is sad to announce that the 2020 Christmas Parade in Monticello has been cancelled. The Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Monticello have discussed and agreed upon the cancellation due to Covid concerns and a rise in reported cases across the state of Mississippi. We are saddened to make this decision but feel that it is in the best interest for everyone to cancel this year. We thank you all for you understanding, hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and look forward to seeing you next year or the 2021 Christmas parade!

Announcement Time It's time to starting getting your floats planned and ready because its "A Different Kind of Christmas" this year. We will be having our annual Christmas Parade in Monticello on December 5, 2020 starting at 5pm! It's no doubt we've all had a different kind of year so we want to see what your different kind of Christmas will look like with the theme "A Different Kind of Christmas". We are so excited to be able to hold the event this year and see how creativ...e you all can be in showing us what Christmas will look like for you this year! If you would like to enter the Christmas Parade forms are available for pick up at the Lawrence County Courthouse, Plain and Fanci, and Monticello City Hall! All forms will need to be turned in to the Chamber of Commerce by December 3rd or can be mailed in to PO Box 996 Monticello, MS 39654. Marketplace is in full swing and all kinds of things happening!! There is still time to come enjoy the beautiful day, do some shopping, get a free posture screening, and eat some great food!!

Don’t forget about Monticello Marketplace happening tomorrow from 10am to 2pm! We will have food booths, local shops having sales, vendors selling all kinds of goodies, jumpers for kids, and more!! It’ll be a fun day you won’t want to miss!!! We hope to see you all there!

This year the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with our local shop owners in Monticello to help with the Christmas Open House in Monticello, MS this year! We are so thankful for shops who put so much time and effort into planning this event and we are so excited to help out! There is room for everyone to participate whether you are retail, food, ect.
