Save the Date!! Class of 2020-2021 Future Leaders of Jones County Graduation Luncheon, 11:30 a.m. on May 5th at the Gables! Invitations will be sent in April! Join us to hear their community projects and congratulate them on completing the program!

Future Leaders of Jones County session kicked off with Collyn Leggett, Admissions Counselor from USM. Speaking to the class about positive use of social media. Terrance Norwood with MS State Extension Service facilitating leadership skills exercises. It is going to be another great day!!

The Leadership Jones County Reunion Class held a "belated" graduation celebration last week. Due to the pandemic their celebration was cancelled last May. The class met at Lauren Rogers Museum of Art for lunch and a special training session conducted by national speaker John Davis. Graduation sponsor CSpire's representative Terrell Knight joined the class adding his congratulations. Members of the Reunion Class were: Jeannine Agee, Sylvia Clark, Ben Cole, Christy Drennan, Chr...is Ishee, Pollyanna Magee, Peggy Padilla, Ashley Rae, Diane Shoemake, Brynn Strickler, Anna Thornton and Charlotte Gibbs-Williams. Also joining the celebration were class facilitators Linda Gavin and George Bassi. Several members of Future Leaders of Jones County assisted with delivering snacks to the Civilians and National Guard working the vaccination site at the South MS Fairgrounds this week. These dedicated men and women have been working so hard in extreme weather conditions with very few smiles and even fewer thank yous. We were so happy to be able to provide them with a few snacks to give them a lift during their long days! AND give them a BIG THANK YOU for their hard work! Future Leaders of Jones County welcome State Auditor Shad White today during our Legislative Session.

This year marks the 30th year for the Future Leaders of Jones County program. It looks vastly different than in year's past, but we want to thank all the volunteers, staff, and participating schools that insisted that this programming happens for the benefit of the children. Today, we kicked things off with our socially distanced planning retreat that will set the path for these rising Seniors to be a benefit in the community for years to come.
