At Martin Oral and Facial Surgery, we take the health and safety of our patients, team members, and community seriously. Our highest priority is the well-being of every person we interact with through our practice on a daily basis. We are actively monitoring developments related to the novel coronavirus as it pertains to our practice and the services we provide to our patients. Currently we are implementing the following practices: In addition to our routine infection cont...rol protocols: We are calling all of our patients the day prior to their scheduled appointments and screening them for any recent illness or travel. We have posted signs on our external doors to inform patients with fever, cough and/or shortness of breath not to enter the office, but to return to their car and call us for further direction. We are asking our patients, escorts and family members to wait in their vehicles to decrease the potential risk of transmission in our waiting room. We are also screening our staff and asking them to self-quarantine if they or any household contacts develop fever, cough and/or shortness of breath. As of now, we plan to maintain our normal schedule. However, given the dynamic nature of this situation, we will continue to monitor and implement changes as indicated. Based on recent mandates from the Mississippi Department of Health, we are now required to postpone all non-emergent and routine visits/procedures through April 1, 2020. If you have an upcoming visit that is non-emergent, you will receive a phone call from our scheduling coordinator prior to the appointment to reschedule.
