As the 15th anniversary approaches for the Mississippi Blues Marathon presented by Continental Tire. Premier Event Management is proud to announce that the event will once again make its return to where it all started so long ago from the Community of Fondren. "With years of construction finally complete, we could not be prouder to once again return with a section of this iconic event through the beautiful and vibrant community of Fondren, stated race director and owner of... the Blues Marathon, Bill Burke." The 2022 event will now feature three miles taking place through the community of Fondren for the Half Marathon and six miles for the Full Marathon on this double loop course. This course change will bring us past some of the finest landmarks in Jackson, Mississippi like the original starting line location just a few feet from Walkers Drive In and Roosters Restaurants on the newly refurbished North State Street. Like the 2021 event, all races will start and finish from the our new home on the grounds of the Mississippi State Capitol Complex on February 19, 2022. CONGRATS to the approximate 300 participants who transferred to the virtual event and ran, jogged, walked your distance. It was great seeing many of you at Fleet Feet for your shirt/medal pick up. We will begin mailing the out of town packages this week. We know that some of you still plan to run over the next 30 days. For locals, the shirts and medals will be at Fleet Feet through Mar 27. After you finish, you can upload your results on the Active registration software ...at this below link. February, 5, 2021 Good afternoon Athletes, For the last three years Premier Event Management is honored to produce the Mississippi Blues Marathon each year to the thousands of athletes and spectators that join us from around the globe in the capitol of Jackson, Mississippi!... Unfortunately due to the ever increasing COVID-19 numbers in the capitol city and it’s affect’s on the community, we have been asked to reschedule the Mississippi Blues Marathon as an in-person race on Saturday, October 16, 2021. As you can imagine this is a not an easy move for the event at this time! But safety will always be our number one priority at any event we produce anywhere across the country. For everyone who has already trained so hard for this event, we will be offering the Mississippi Blues Marathon, Half Marathon 10K, 5K & Relay as a virtual event starting February 27, 2021 and it will run until Match 27, 2021. To move your registration to the virtual option that will be run from February 27th through March 27th, please email this request to [email protected] by midnight, Monday February 15th 2021. If you select the Virtual Option and would like to join us on October 16th in person, you will have to re-register after your transfer is complete to our Virtual Race. Athlete’s living in the greater Jackson area will be able to pick up their shirts and finisher medals following their Virtual Event at the Fleet Feet Ridgeland location beginning on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Fleet Feet Ridgeland is located at 500 Hwy. 51 Ste. Z Trace Station Shopping Center, Ridgeland, MS 39157. Those athletes that live outside of the greater Jackson area will have their items mailed to the address you provided during the registration process. You must request to have your items mailed to your attention by emailing at [email protected]. Please make this request by February 15, 2021! For those athletes wishing to run the MS Blues Marathon presented by Continental Tire as an in-person live event on its new date of October 16, 2021, your entry fee will be moved to this new date without any further action.
