William Jumper 85 years old last seen today at approximately 3:00 pm heading west in four door gray Chevrolet truck from I22 and Veterans. W/M, bald head with blue button shirt with white squares on it and khaki pants. 2009 Chevy 1500 four door gray truck Prentiss County tag Photos of Mr Jumper and an example of his vehicle attached. TPD is in the process of requesting a Silver Alert. If anyone has information please contact their local 911 office.

As today is International Firefighters Day. On behalf of the Palmetto Old Union Fire Department And myself Chief Jeff Pearson would like to thank all the men and women that volunteer. Without You guys we couldn’t keep the community’s going safe. This weekend has proved that our department can face many obstacles in our work. Friday night we had a possible helicopter crash in our community and so many members and other departments were there to put the feet on the ground and... look for this air craft. It turned out to be nothing thank goodness. And Sunday night as part of our community was struck with tornado damage these guys were out going door to door checking on residents and helping with tree removal and so forth. These men and women are up out of bed at the drop of the tone and loose sleep then we all go work our full time jobs. This is all done out of the heart and we are not doing this for that pay check we are here for YOU OUR COMMUNITY!! We love what we do and wouldn’t hesitate one minute to jump in and save another’s life. THIS IS WHO WE ARE!!! Thanks to everyone for all that you do to make this possible. Chief Jeff Pearson
