If you’re Entergy customer or Electric Co-Op customer and lose or have lost power please read this message from the PSC: PUBLIC NOTICE: Entergy customers in Mis...sissippi and customers of electric co-ops in south and west MS WILL see forced outage of power for hopefully just one hour tonight in various areas across the systems. It may last longer, but for now plans seem to show a one hour time period. Please continue to help do your part by conserving energy as best you can. These outages will occur in different areas of south and west MS to preserve the electric supply system. Hospitals and critical care facilities will not lose service but other customers will. This is not a failure of any power plant in MS, but other plants in the South.

Dangerous Cold Expected Through Wednesday Morning We urge you not to drive if you don’t have to. Sliding off into a ditch could easily become a life-safety... issue if you’re left in the extreme cold temperatures for too long. Continue to protect your pipes, drip water and keep your pets and plants indoors and check on the elderly. Another Winter Storm Expected Wednesday through Thursday

Everyone, we will be rolling out the Pfizer vaccine starting this week. We are awaiting a shipment early this week. We will post a phone number on the Lackey ...Memorial Hospital Facebook page. I expect that we will post the number Monday. We will also be listed on the MSDH website as well. You MUST have an appointment to receive the vaccine. We will provide a similar service as the testing clinic and will be a drive through on the same property, located on Airport Road in Forest. Right now the vaccine is reserved for the medical community and anyone 75 years old or older. We are required by law to follow the state's rollout plan. We are still at 80-90% capacity in the hospital. There are more and more healthcare workers contracting the disease. We have several employees in various stages of the disease. We have seen more very ill over the last week or two. There are available treatments that seem to be very successful. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE see your doctor if you have a positive diagnosis or have the symptoms. We have the Monoclonal antibody medications available that seem to be helping a lot in certain stages of the disease. Only your doctor can order these and once again there is strict guidelines that we must follow. If your provider suggest treatment of one of these drugs please don't hesitate to get it. It is available at most hospitals in limited supply. We have seen no real side effects and we have given over 100 doses. These are administered in a hospital outpatient setting only and will take you about 3 hours from start to finish. These drugs were not available just a few months ago, they are a great tool to fight against this thing. Please keep wearing your mask, GET VACCINATED, distance and wash up often!

Mississippi's vaccination phases balance the protection of those most at risk from COVID-19 with those who maintain essential functions of the community. We are currently in Phase 1a, vaccinating healthcare workers and long-term care residents and staff. Healthcare workers include a broad range of physicians, nurses, and clinical and facility staff in any setting where COVID-19 exposure is a risk. Find out more about free vaccinations for healthcare workers at https://msdh.ms.gov/c19vaccination
