Dear Family and Friends, Words can not adequately express our appreciation for the love and support you have shown to us after the passing of Pastor Joe McKnight. Your calls, texts, visits, prayers, and presence have given us strength over the last several days. I am reminded of the command in Galatians 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. You have borne our burden alongside us and allowed His light to shine through your deeds of service and wor...ds of encouragement, and we are so grateful! Thank you for every meal prepared, flower sent, mile driven, tear shed, shoulder shared, and service that you have provided in an effort to ease our sorrow during this difficult time. I have said many times over the past few days that God is good, and He does all things well, and I am reminded again of how precisely He has established our friendships and relationships and how His church comes together to build one another up according to His perfect plan. God is good and He does ALL things well! Your love has been poured out over us in more ways than I can convey, and we pray that you are blessed beyond measure for your selflessness! 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 (ESV) But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. You have allowed the aroma of Christ to lift our hearts in the joyful moments and again in our time of sorrow. It is that sweet aroma of Christ’s love that will carry us through this trial of life and lead us in triumphal procession to His destination. Pastor McKnight loved this gospel, and his passion was to see the Word preached and souls saved. Until the day God calls us home, let us all work together with passion and fervor for the Kingdom of God! We love and appreciate each of you and pray God’s blessing upon you.
